Healthy-er Eating

What is healthy eating? I suppose the definition can be different depending on who you ask.
I think what we need to start with is ‘healthier’ eating. To make positive health changes in life, the kind that become life long habits, it’s often best to take baby steps.
Maybe you’re used to eating meat and potatoes every night. So as a small change, you could try eating a smaller portion of meat and half of a potato and adding some broccoli or Brussels sprouts or even some carrot sticks. Adding more variety and color to your plate is key.
If you’re thinking that adding another item to your dinner plate will take too long, it may help to cut up a few days worth of raw vegetables and keep them in the fridge. Then you can easily pull them out and sauté them or even eat them raw. Even if you have to eat them with ranch dressing, it’s better than not eating them at all. Remember, baby steps. Small changes for incrementally healthy living.
